CP+B and Coke Zero Declare the Monday after the Superbowl, "Magnificent Monday"
We're not sure if this is brilliant advertising or a sure sign of the times and further downfall of american culture. You decide.

With friends and family gathering together to eat, drink and watch football, the big game is the ultimate American occasion. The only downside is having to show up to work the next day. So Coke Zero and CP+B are on a mission to make the day after the game a federal holiday. How? They're not sure. But they do know one thing; they can’t do it alone. Help them make Magnificent Monday a reality, so everyone can ENJOY EVERYTHING about the big game. Even the day after.

Fun idea, and I know it's not the true reason behind doing this but I don't think they stand a chance in hell in making Monday after the super bowl a federal holiday.
"Because Brawndo's got electrolytes." All hale the Idiocracy. #magmonday
I take the day after the superbowl off every year - for 8 years straight now. No need for a federal holiday, declare your own holiday, ya sheepeople.
its called
calling in sick
CPB-land national holidays are fun, in CPB-land? I don't see them getting anywhere fast. Why are they trying to trend make believe holidays, that hardly gain ground here as far as on the web goes, for banking etc.
I don't reside in CPB-land.
So was CP+B closed yesterday?
Is this necessary? They must be bored? Way to ruin an obvious bonus for a cash in well done.
Observed by CP+B.
Anybody taking a day off when they can hardly figure breaking even?
You can't have two national holidays two days in a row! Everbodies on the DL Monday because they went all out spending, prepping, and doing. Ofcourse the numbers are down, everybodies spent. Unless they can't shut up about the excitement of it all, which they won't!
Then there has to be Vday, to make it up to all the female lesser fans in its wake. Yay.
Is coke zero desperately gloating in the coke polar bears spotlight? And probably budweiser platinum, pretty shiny.
Yeah, consume all your fat asses can handle on Sunday so you're too full and lazy to go to work Monday. Fuck doing ANYTHING in moderation, this is America!
Thanks CP+B for encouraging Americans to feel ENTITLED to an irresponsible lifestyle.
Oh get off your high horse for chirst sake. It's not about irresponsibility or over-indulgence or gluttony or whatever else self-righteous people accuse the rest of us of being. It's about spending the day with the lightness in your heart of having the following day off. It's about being childlike and carefree for just one day. I'm not suggesting people call in sick, I'm saying if people want the day off after the superbowl, put it in the schedule and do it - ya dont need a federal holiday to take a day off.
Amen!
I'm pretty phat!
I am on vacation until the Oscars.

You get the entire day off for Super Bowl Sunday. It's not like it's New Year's Eve. The game doesn't go into the wee hours of the morning. Drink, indulge, get wasted, eat way too much queso, enjoy the game with "lightness in your heart", whatever. If you need 4 hours after the game, a full night of sleep, plus another 24 hours on top of that to recover, you're PROBABLY over-indulging.

Here's a list of federal holidays:
New Year's Day
Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Washington's Birthday
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Columbus Day
Veterans Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
Does the day after the Super Bowl really fit into that list? We're not even talking about the day of the event, it's the day after. If you really need the day off, take a vacation day.
Lame.
Lamer than their original post flag and video!
It is more on the order of Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and that small bank day they started, but no money is spent because the world has stopped. I don't see it being the slightest memory too much competition!
@hijustin
I'm saying it's SHOULDN'T be a holiday. Reread my post friend. Once again, it's not about indulgence, I'm not sure how you're missing that. It's just about making the whole event part of a three day weekend - which rules in my opinion. It's just fun, it's not recovery.

Ok, fair enough. I obviously interpret the image of the guy in the ad differently. Either way, it doesn't matter.
I agree, if it's just for fun, take a vacation day. Federal holidays should be reserved for historical events and honoring people that have benefitted the country.
