The Art of Winter

Something Independent, an initiative promoting the industry and culture of snowsports in Colorado, presents The Art of Winter – an an indoor/outdoor art installation debuting this January in Denver's Larimer Square and featuring ski and snowboard art and design from boutique manufacturers, as well as original works on recycled skis and snowboards by Colorado artists.

These recycled “canvases” were provided to local artists by SnowSports Industries America (SIA). The outdoor convergence of art, industry, innovation and snowsports is also a nod to the 2nd year anniversary of the SIA Snow Show’s arrival in Colorado. The Art of Winter is a signature event of Denver’s Mile High SnowFest.

The online gallery will be up this week at www.somethingindependent.com, but the finished works are on Facebook now.
