Good Apples' TEDxBoulder Program and Badge Lands in CA Design Annual
Good Apples, Boulder designed the program and badge for the first annual TEDxBoulder, combining them into one succinctly packaged piece. At 3.5 by 4.5 inches, the program comes saddle-stitched inside a letterpressed wraparound cover that acts as the name badge where people simply write their name on it.
The collateral was created to promote and be distributed at the inaugural TEDxBoulder conference. We were required to work within the brand guidelines provided by TED, but wanted to create something that felt distinct from the parent conference. By extracting the “x” from the logomark and using it as a visual element throughout the pieces we were able to implement a simple solution that adhered to the guidelines provided by TED but felt unique to the Boulder event.
The work will appear in the 2011 Communication Arts Design Annual. Congrats, guys, on a job very well done. Love the way you shot people interacting with the work too.

Sweet piece.
I thought it was conceptually a great piece, but functionally it wasn't so hot. The copy was miniscule, and the white on red pages were bascially impossible to read in a dark room.
That being said, I thought the design with the perf neck hanger and quality of concept were amazing.
Well done ! Congrats.
Cheers
