Beat The Meter Maid Once and For All
Our friends at Denver's Honest Bros. just finished up a side project to benefit us all – especially us forgetful flakes. At Text VS. Ticket, you can sign up to receive free texts that remind you of street sweeping dates the night before or morning of your ticket-able offense. Companies can also pay to sponsor texts on a weekly or monthly basis, with users receiving a text similar to “Please move your car for street sweeping [numb skull], sponsored by [The Denver Egotist].”
To promote the free campaign, Honest Bros. hit the streets with marketing messages printed on magnetic paper. Denver is the first city to have the program, with more to follow soon. Nice idea.

This service has been around for at least a couple of years already:

Upon further investigation it appears MyMeterMaid.com (the automated service that partnered with Denver's Department of Public Works) was attacked by viruses and is no longer operating. DPW is supposed to be developed an inhouse version of the service to be available at this website: http://www.keepitcleandenver.org/sweep.html It looks like the DPW version only reminds via email and not SMS so thanks for saving the day Honest Bros!

Every time I follow through to this previously available service, I get a malware warning. I'll stick with the new Honest Bros site.
Very cool indeed, my girlfriend came home with one yesterday on her car. Thanks Honest Bros.!
