RIP McClain Finlon
It sure feels like a hole was left in Denver that still hasn't been filled since the day MF died. Who's gonna fill it?
Thanks, Gordy

They were a bloated company that lacked the agility required to survive.
When working with them directly on project it was clear they were gonna die. They pissed money away and overpaid a lot of staffers who were only there to collect a paycheck to buy fine wine.
The day of over priced designers is gone. If you don't have a killer AJAX/Logic/Programmer/UI/Wire framer your doomed.
$25k can get you shitty print work delivered form the old dogs or you can invest that in one campaign and get real stats, metrics, and (oh snap) profit.
So long - I will not miss you. I encourage the smaller companies to come in and take that corporate dollar. The money will not go wasted when using smaller companies.
was that scooter a toyota by chance?
good even after the fourth viewing
datageek, if/when an EMP hits, your precious online "work" will go away, and people will still be able to read their printed matter by daylight, candlelight, or any other light that remains...
Oh shit, it just got all '24' up on these boards whippin out the EMP reference. SNAP!
SORRY BUT PRECIOUS ONLINE WORK ISNT GOING AWAY ANYTIME SOON, WAGES ARE BOUND TO BE DRIVEN DOWN
BY SMALLER 'AGENCIES' DOING DECENT WORK and SMALL CRAPPY AGENCIES DOING MARGINAL WORK ON THE CHEAP.
AS ALWAYS THE MIDDLE CLASS - BLUE COLLAR DESIGNERS/CREATIVES WILL SUFFER THE MOST
BUT THE MENTALITY THAT PRINT IS BREAD AND BUTTER IS AS DATED AS PEOPLE THAT USE
'OH SNAP'
ALSO,
TOO BAD THAT TEXT ON THE POSTED VIDEO IS
1. ILLEGIBLE
2. ILLEGIBLE AND NOT GIVEN ENOUGH SCREEN TIME
WTF not even funny, JUST SUCKY SUCKY
"CAP" YOU'RE DOIN IT WRONG
I love it. "Oh Snap" is dated but "Cap In Yo Ass" and "sucky" is cutting edge. And all caps is just really annoying, even if you have a point to make. Sort it out man.
MF is gone not because they put all their eggs into print (they made the Denver 50 one year creating viral videos for Dell), but because they had a problem that any agency needs to overcome to be successful year and year out - they needed a large enough set of clients to break their dependence on one client.
PS. Traditional media isn't going away anytime soon. More people watch TV now than at any other time in history.
Don't take my 'snap' comment to heart, it's called sarcasm... I can tell you're passionate on the subject since YOU TYPE IN ALL CAPS. It really gets the point across.
