Digital Scandinavia: Future Art and Design Practitioners Mine Optimism

/ Comments (1)

During the summer of 2009, a group of students and faculty from the College of Arts and Media (Denver) and the College of Architecture and Planning (Denver and Boulder) gathered themselves to explore just what makes the Scandinavian art and design mentality tick. They explored ideas of process while meeting practitioners, interviewing artists and designers and reveled in the urban spaces of two culture capitals of Scandinavia.

The journey, a hybrid of study in Denver, Copenhagen, Denmark and Bergen, Norway, is culminating in an exhibit at RedLine. A reception on Friday, October 2 from 7 to 10 p.m. coincides with an article in the fall edition of Modern in Denver. Their entire journey can be explored online at Digital Scandinavia.

This is a really cool project. I think I might just have to go to this. Cool stuff.
