Cloudveil Introduces Sorry Gifts

/ Comments (3)

For the dedicated mountain sportsman, along with days spent skiing, climbing and fishing, comes the need to make amends… for days spent skiing, climbing and fishing. A new advertising/promotional campaign for Cloudveil Mountain Works, the sports apparel company’s first new campaign in three years, provides its customers with three heartfelt ways to say “I’m sorry.” The work is by TDA Advertising & Design, Boulder.

Three ads will feature new items, actually available for purchase, at cloudveil.com. Like previous Cloudveil advertising, the “Sorry Gift” campaign aims to support a hardcore mountain sportsman positioning. Because their activities are weather-dependent, dedicated mountain skiers, climbers and anglers are notorious for neglecting all other responsibilities when conditions call.

Ads break in September, in general outdoor, and niche skiing, climbing and fishing magazines Outside, Backpacker, Backcountry, Powder, Telemark Skier, Alpinist, Rock & Ice, Fly Rod & Reel, Drake and Angling Trade. Similar online banner ads will appear on sports and/or weather related sites, still to be determined.

Fulfillment of “Sorry Gift” items ordered through Cloudveil will be via cross-promotional arrangements with 1-800-FLOWERS, kooldogkafe.com, and zazzle.com.

Wow, total rip off of the Columbia campaign. Shame on you TDA.

I heard they did know, but figured since the products were different, it was o.k.:) I hope Columbia sees this.
