New Obama Design Books Featuring Local Talent
The Design Director of the Obama campaign, Scott Thomas, has collaborated with artists and designers to create Designing Obama, a chronicle of the art from the historic campaign. Get the inside story on how design was used by the campaign, and scope out the pieces, created unofficially, by grassroots supporters. Local talent Chris Cox is featured in this 360-page book.
From its inception, the Barack Obama campaign was destined to make history. Its message of inclusion and empowerment was spread by thousands of volunteers, a grassroots organization of unprecedented size and enthusiasm. Design for Obama built on this spirit with an online forum where artists, designers and supporters could upload their artworks and download others. Edited by designforobama.org founder Aaron Perry-Zucker and filmmaker Spike Lee, Design For Obama showcases over 200 of the best pro-Obama posters. Local talent Jeff Walters is featured in this book.
