  • Trash Humpers: Trailer

    July 30th, 2010 / Comments (1)

Trash Humpers follows a small gang of sinister ‘elderly’ peeping toms through the shadows of a nightmarishly familiar suburban landscape. Their shocking and sociopathic behaviour makes for unbearably compelling viewing that scorches itself onto the mind’s eye.

    Mind melting.

  • The VW Touareg in its Natural Habit

    July 30th, 2010 / Comments (0)

DDB Barcelona built a giant terrarium inside the Barcelona airport and filled it with an exotic natural environment, including one ton of sand, rocks, dirt and live snakes. To cap it off, they parked a VW Touareg inside and sealed up the tank. The point was to show the vehicle in its natural environment – an exotic locale only accessible by the 4-wheel-drive Touareg. Attention-demanding concept.

    July 30th, 2010 / Comments (0)

New Zealand Energy drink, V Isokinetic, has invented a new sport they call Pomparkour – that adds a ladder to this ballsy activity and whole new level of insanity. Check out their site for more.

  • Save the Date for Christ's Return!

    July 29th, 2010 / Comments (6)

Marie Exley of Colorado Springs is convinced that Armageddon, the end of the world as written of in the Bible, will come next year. Her conviction is so strong that, though unemployed, she’s paid $1,200 to buy advertising space on 10 Colorado Springs bus benches through October to get the word out.

    Mark your calendars, folks!

  • Mrs. K's Driftwood Deck

    July 29th, 2010 / Comments (0)

As part of Shark Week's sponsorship of the X Games on ESPN, Discovery called upon Mitch Monson and Jeanne Kopeck to create a shark-themed skateboard deck. The "Driftwood" deck will be auctioned off along with other selected artists' work to benefit Oceana, the largest international organization focused solely on ocean conservation.

Monson and Kopeck are the motion design and directing talents behind Mrs. K, a broadcast and commercial design house with offices in Denver and Minneapolis that focuses on the physical, the textural and the in-camera aesthetic over the purely synthetic. What better use of their craftsmanship than to shape a piece of riding wood into an organic expression for a worthy cause? Bid on it and see the other decks you can grab here.

  • Keep Your Job if You Have One

    July 29th, 2010 / Comments (10)

We spotted this want ad from Denver's Norris Design on the Creative Hotlist today and it jolted us. What a sad state-of-affairs we're in when a studio is looking to hire a Receptionist / Graphic Designer. They even chose to mention receptionist before designer in the position's title. Bleh.
