Saturday Night: Denver's 1st Annual Snuggie Pub Crawl

We know you said you’d never be caught dead in public in your Snuggie, but this may change your tune. The 1st Annual Snuggie Pub Crawl is this Saturday night and is being organized by advertising agency Thomas Taber & Drazen’s own Ted Morse. The event begins on the rooftop deck at Jackson’s in LoDo at 3 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m.

Westword reports two hundred Snuggiers are expected to show up, making their way through four LoDo bars. There will be drink specials, giveaways and a contest to see who has the most creatively decorated Snuggie.

If you don’t already own the blanket with sleeves (yeah, right), go to checkout at Customer Service at Cherry Creek’s Bed Bath & Beyond, mention the crawl and save 20%. The price is $20 for the crawl, with proceeds going to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center. Enjoy.

I saw about 50 people in the Springs do this last weekend.

Damn. And all I have is this Slanket.

This is brilliant. Afterwords we can all meet under the 6th Avenue bridge and fight Sith warlords.

But how can it be the first when it’s the third one I’ve been invited to!? Maybe instead it should be called the Third First Annual Snuggie Pub Crawl…

i think TTD’s website wants to have sex with me.

Nice – those things generate so much static electricity it will be a shock fest. And they should be calling it the “Inaugural”, not “1st Annual”, that implies that it has already happened last year . . . something tells me this fad won’t make it to its second birthday.
