I am a content writer/social media manager experienced in authoring and editing content for a wide variety of audiences and purposes including marketing collateral, brand awareness, event promotion, news features, and search engine optimization. I have 10+ years of professional experience including copywriting, social media management, proofreading, creative writing, sales, customer service and office management. I am passionate about staying on the cutting edge of changing trends in communication and using creative expression to drive business results. In my most recent position as a Content Writer at a four-year art college, I was responsible for the creation of original marketing copy and journalism style content, as well as updates on existing content, across multiple internal and external college communication channels. These included the public website, private intranet, social media accounts, press releases, marketing collateral, company-wide weekly newsletter, monthly alumni newsletter, and quarterly parent publication. I served as the voice of the college by writing news articles on topics of interest to the school community, in addition to managing the Facebook page and Twitter feed. I nearly tripled the number of Facebook fans and nearly doubled the number of Twitter followers during my tenure. I played an integral role in establishing the company intranet by helping to determine user needs, information architecture, and writing/maintaining content.
