Java. Joe. Brain juice. Coffee is the lifeblood of an agency. It fuels early mornings and late nights. It’s at the center of long brainstorming sessions and endless copy edits. Making sure the pot is full, fresh, and hot is an important job in any agency. We all have to start somewhere, and this is where I started. Don’t get me wrong, my internship with RMD Advertising consisted of other tasks besides making the coffee, but it was here that I learned the importance of the coffee and the value of the one who makes it. Although we would all like to get our dream job right out of college, it doesn’t happen like that. You have to pay your dues, and in the process you will learn, grow and become a true professional. I am still learning as we all are, and I know I have many more pots of coffee to make, but I am ready for the next challenge in developing my career. I am a recent graduate who has just completed a short internship with a Columbus, Ohio, agency. It was here that I discovered that I truly have a passion for this industry, and I am looking to get my foot in the door at an agency either on the account team or the creative team. Any openings you have would be of interest to me as I am trying to launch my career. I am seeking full-time employment and am attempting to secure a position in the Denver area so that I can relocate there. I am able and willing to relocate immediately at my own costs.
