Digital Marketing Alchemist Intern
Onit Marketing LLC is seeking a digital marketing alchemist intern.
We’re an innovative digital marketing company specializing in the outdoors, adventure sports, organic, eco and natural products industries. We have worked for some of the coolest brands on Earth.
We are looking for a computer and Internet savvy person to set up, grow communities and maintain social networking pages and presence for various social media and digital marketing campaigns. Your role will be to run social media campaigns for multiple clients. You need to be extremely tech and marketing savvy. You need to be quick on your feet, flexible and a real go-getter. Onit is a fast paced environment.
Our new digital marketing alchemist should be prepared to work directly with the owner of the company and if they are strong enough they will eventually work directly with clients (a strong phone/email presence is a must!) and manage the day-to-day operations of 3-5 accounts.
A typical day requires working with Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, bloggers, email marketing, facebook advertising skills, databases management and spreadsheets. You will also need strong writing and grammar skills, as you may be assigned to blogging or other writing on behalf of Onit or our clients. You will be expected to have quick turn-around on projects and be a multi-tasker. You must thrive in a entrepreneurial setting, be able to accomplish tasks on your own or as part of a team. You must be a self starter and have strong project management skills. You must already understand authentic marketing. You must already know how to write tweets customized to different markets, how to grow twitter audiences, how to grow a Facebook network, how to write blog posts and tag them, backlinking strategies, email marketing design, development and execution, strong analytical skills a must. You will also know how to put together exceptional presentations via ppt and word.
You must be self motivated, stable, balanced, excited and enthusiastic, socially tech savvy, and a go getter. Being involved in Denver metro-area activities and organizations is helpful.
Required Skills & Attributes
-Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Xcel, PowerPoint, etc.).
-Basic HTML skills or ability to learn
-Experience using Adobe products, including Photoshop and Dreamweaver (Graphic Design Skills preferred).
-Strong presentation and communication skills.
-Proven experience growing online communities.
-Advanced knowledge and proficiency of Twitter, Facebook, YouTube (video editing a plus) and other social media sites.
-Database experience, particularly Filemaker Pro.
-Superb writing and communication skills and creativity required.
-Intermediate research and analytical skills.
-Email marketing campaign execution required.
-Experience with Google Analytics.
-Need to be comfortable in a constantly shifting environment.
-Only creative out-of-the-box thinkers need apply.
Must be comfortable working with a Mac computer. You need to have your own computer, car, and cell phone. You must be flexible, accountable and reliable.
Position may move to part time or full time after proven success hours will increase.
This position reports directly to the President of Onit Marketing.
