Market Creation Group

The Market Creation Group (MCG) is a unique marketing firm focused on brand strategy, marketing and design. Our team of content and design specialists work in an extremely collaborative and flexible environment. We're currently searching for a Web Development Intern/Minion to help out our creative team. Along with development experience, you will gain some great insight on what it’s like to work in a fast-paced marketing firm.

Requirements include:
- Mac (your own laptop would be awesome)
- Strong HTML/CSS skills
- Photoshop (ability to build out a layout into graphics and CSS)
- Familiarity with JavaScript/PHP
- Experience using CMSs (especially WordPress)
- Interest in emerging technologies
- A healthy dose of anal retentiveness
- Experience with building HTML emails
- An understanding of building websites for SEO friendliness and accessibility

Bonus skills include:
- Flash
- Strong experience with JavaScript (especially jQuery or similar frameworks) and/or PHP
- Templating for CMSs
- Building/editing modules/plugins for CMSs
- Experience using version control
- HTML5
- Social Media: blogging/writing
- Windows Server 2008/IIS
- Video

This will be a paid ($10-$12 an hour, depending on experience), part-time internship (12 hours a week, may increase depending on your schedule and our needs) beginning as soon as possible. Only 3-6 month commitments will be considered. College credit is optional if your degree program allows it.
