Traffic & Production Internship
Description:
Traffic & Production Intern: Advertising Agency
Have you ever wondered how strategy and creative genius meet their final destination? Are you curious about what makes an agency run smoothly? Are you an organized, multi-tasking over achiever who’s always one step ahead? If so, we should talk.
Position Summary:
Traffic and Production is a unique aspect of agency life that brings advertising dreams to reality. The traffic intern plays an active, important role on the Production team. S/he will work closely with all the departments at Cactus to map out a plan of attack, manage integrated advertising campaigns and work with producers in developing the final print ad, billboard, branding initiatives, TV & radio spots, websites and banner ads for a variety of state, national and international clients. The traffic intern will have the opportunity to actively participate in the creation of an advertising campaign from start to finish, gaining exposure to all agency roles and processes.
Responsibilities:
Working efficiently for our clients is one of our top priorities. The traffic intern will play a key role in this by drafting project schedules, coordinating departments through each phase of a project, reviewing creative work, and maintaining a macro view of the overall goals and scope of a project. The traffic intern will have the opportunity to work with Interactive, Print and Broadcast producers to learn the ins and outs of each medium. Some responsibilities are flexible and can be revised based on intern interest in specific areas of study or career goals.
Requirements:
This internship is designed for college juniors, seniors or recent graduates looking for agency experience. Our internships are unpaid and potential candidates can receive academic course credit from their college/university for program completion. We ask for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Cactus is proud to have a history of hiring interns into full time positions when the need exists, however, a successful internship does not always turn into an employment opportunity.
Education: College junior, senior or recent grad, some related experience, coursework or club involvement.

Cactus has been nationally recognized for its breakthrough creative executions by The One Show, Communication Arts, The Webby Awards, South by Southwest, Favourite Website Awards, Advertising Age, Creativity and Print's Regional Design Annual.
