In-House Creative Manager

We are an upcoming, yet established consumer packaged goods company in Boulder, CO and are assembling a top notch in-house marketing department. We are a talented group of professionals that like to have fun and are building an entrepreneurial culture. If you’re looking for a corporate gig where you’re just another face in the crowd, this probably isn’t the right fit for you.

• Lead the development of all visual creative for our portfolio of brands. This includes:
• Packaging design
• POS development and design
• Sell sheets and sales kits
• Digital, web and social media assets
• Trade Show themes and design
• Print and OOH advertising
• Coupons, flyers, leaflets
• This is important: This position is responsible for both creative and final art production
• Constantly hunt for new and improved opportunities to engage our consumers on a deeper level
• Work with print and packaging vendors to ensure final output is consistent with original concepts
• Present creative concepts to Director of Brand Marketing as well as senior management
• Solid understanding of digital and ability to work with an in-house social media team
• Create retail marketing promotions that engage shoppers to notice our brands on shelf
• Ability to connect insights to big ideas and tactics that satisfy our business objectives
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously without an Account Executive or Project Manager reminding you what you need to do next

• Education: If you have a college degree, great. If you went to art school, that’s cool too. If you’re just really smart, even better
• Years of experience: Prefer prior consumer packaged goods experience
• Written and verbal communication: Yes, you should be able to have ability to write and talk. It is also strongly preferred that you are able to use spellcheck and be a bit of a grammar geek because your copy will be viewed by our consumers
• Be resourceful: We’re not a big company or agency and have limited resources. You should be a person that embraces the small company, start-up mentality
• Be fast: Our competitive advantage over our competition is speed to market. This is even more important in social media, so we need someone that can deliver quickly
• Collaboration: We believe great ideas can come from anyone, so you should be able to pull inspiration from anyone in the company
• Technical Skills:
• Must have:
• Master of the Adobe CS, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong design and typography skills
• Ability to direct external creative resources like photographers and illustrators
• Bonus points:
• Photography experience
• You can modify with CSS and HTML
• You can work with a developer to build a Wordpress site/blogs
• Ability to thrive in small, do-it-yourself, entrepreneurial environment
• Availability: You can adjust your schedule to handle opportunistic social marketing situations.
• Not afraid of writing some copy every once in a while
