Media Planner/Buyer

Located in Boulder, CO, TDA Advertising & Design is a growing creative agency looking for a media planner/buyer to join the expanding media division. We’re looking for a smart, hard-working, and motivated self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, contribute creatively to the agency’s media insights and identify solutions for clients across the country. The position will support and report to the agency’s media director across projects, which includes regional to global media executions.

Ideal candidate has:

- Experience with developing and implementing plans across all media channels to deliver on outlined client objectives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a passion for building amazing custom solutions for individual client initiatives
- Working knowledge of media research tools and ability to analyze syndicated research to define demographic and psychographic target insights
- Effectively collaborate with agency teams to develop strategic and cohesive client solutions


- Strong negotiation skills across all media channels
- Provide stewardship of all active buys, including pre-logs, post-logs, make goods, tearsheets and screenshots across accounts
- Build and manage flowcharts
- Design optimum media plan that delivers on client strategy and maximizes investment – through cost efficiencies, goal deliveries and vendor agreements
- Track media expenditures to ensure agency and client budget compliance
- Collaborates with accounting and media team members to resolve media billing issues
- Analyze competitive data quarterly for all clients to identify risks or areas of opportunity
- Participate in strategy development and contributes to tactics
- Develop and maintain strong interpersonal/professional relationships with vendors and clients
- Actively seek out information on emerging media trends and how to incorporate new thinking into the big idea


- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Media Planning and/or Buying experience required
- 2-5 years’ experience in media planning ( 2+ years of digital media experience a plus)
- Working comprehension of strategy development and required media math required in this position
- Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced agency environment and maintain attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to articulate information and opinions with confidence
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, very creative environment with a smile

Personal computer and Mac proficiency required; MS Office preferred
