Summary:
TDA_Boulder is a growing creative agency looking for a Media Director. We’re looking for a smart, hard-working, and motivated self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, and contribute creatively to the agency’s media insights and solutions for clients across the country. The position will direct all activities for the media team and will report directly to the agency’s CEO.

• Strong proficiency with industry tools/systems
• Excellent quantitative skills, including analytical skills and math proficiency

• Digital savvy with clear understanding of the evolving digital landscape
• Sharp strategic thinking and problem solving skills
• Curiosity and interest in our clients and their business
• Proven ability to train and lead a department

Responsibilities:
• Manages the department and staff and sets policies for day-to-day operation
• Leads all media planning based on client’s objectives and strategies
• Ensures buying initiatives align with approved plan strategies
• Meets with clients on a regular basis to discuss media and marketing objectives, proposals, plans, post-analysis and general status updates
• Plans and budgets for staffing, resources and equipment/tools
• Works with Account Service on initial objectives, strategies and media planning for all accounts and delegates that information to all buyers for implementation of the planning system
• Reviews all materials or plans for final approval prior to client review
• Ensure quality of media planning, buying performance, and a smooth and consistent workflow within the department
• Trains buyers and planners on the department’s processes as well as new trends in media planning/buying
• Reconciles accounts and ensures all accounts are operating profitably and efficiently
• Provides systems within the department, which will give necessary information to other related departments within the agency (traffic, finance, strategy and production)
• Understands and is able to interpret research sources and is able to write media plans
• Orders and keeps files of all research costs and reorders data
• Attends and plans for new business presentations
• Maintains good, solid rapport with media representatives
• Serves on agency executive committee

Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree preferred
• 7-10 years experience in media/communication planning
• Experience in a leadership role
• Strong mathematical abilities required in this position
• Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced agency environment
• Strong written, verbal, listening and presentation skills
• Ability to articulate information and opinions with confidence

Computer Skills:
Personal computer and Mac proficiency required; MS Office preferred.
