Wanted: one really good writer.
And by good writer we don’t mean a good ad writer. We mean a good writer who
can write ads – and pretty much anything else in any medium, including
brochures, websites, bus boards, radio spots, video scripts, even a book if need
be. A writer who can articulate an idea beyond the frontier of 140 characters.
Who can think visually and strategically as well as verbally. Who can stop us in
our tracks and make us feel something because they have lived enough of life to
know what it’s like to grow up, go to school, fall in love, have a family, buy a
home, renovate a kitchen, plant a garden, and worry about things like mortgages
and schools and old dogs. Who is innately curious and tends to think about
things like home and community – why some feel good and some don’t. Who
plays well with others and doesn’t need a lot of guidance because, frankly, we
don’t have time for that, and who can rise to the occasion and make us better
