Information Architect
The Information Architects formulate, establish and annotate the navigation, functionality, organizational structure, and page-to-page flow for leading edge Web solutions. The role requires a balance of strategic and conceptual thinking, on top of strong organizational skills.
The ideal candidate must be able to conduct stakeholder interviews and lead competitive analysis discussions. Then apply user-centered design methods to translate user needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities into world-class user experiences. Additionally, the Information Architect must be able to effectively present their documentation and communicate user interactions to Clients, Business Analysts, Designers, Developers, QA Engineers, and Project Managers.
Duties:
• Concept and develop a “best of breed” creative product
• Determine functionality and navigation solutions
• Create wireframes and develop categorization, nomenclature and site maps
• Develop and manage appropriate Information Architecture documents, such as User Profiles, Use Cases, Task Analysis, Schematics and User Interface Specifications
• Create and test prototypes of new product concepts
• Perform user research, concept testing, and usability testing
• Interface with Clients and represent Creative positions
• Manage and resolve risks and issues
• Monitor and communicate project status
• Research and monitor trends related to user interaction
Must have:
• 5+ Years of IA/Human Factors work experience
• Demonstrated strong creative vision and methodology for online products
• Inspired passion for and understanding of emerging tools and technology
• Ability to communicate effectively in visual, written and interactive form: design documents, flow charts, prototypes, etc.
• Solid verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to all levels of clients and co-workers
• Proficient with Fireworks and Microsoft Word
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with Search and/or Mapping is a plus, but not a requirement
