We are looking for a Content Marketing Director to serve in our Des Moines, IA agency. The Content Marketing Director is responsible for defining all aspects of content strategy and execution of strategic and operational initiatives to drive consumer engagement for across our client base. This individual will be responsible for leading and managing a team with responsibilities of assessing, creating, cataloging, organizing and maintaining web/social media/PR content to achieve both brand and business goals. This individual should have strong writing skills and knowledge of the digital space.
-Develop and execute a dynamic client-specific content strategy and plans, resulting in growth of consumer attraction, engagement and conversion
-Create necessary plans, tools and operational practices to develop (‘test and learn’) highly optimized content through the gathering and analysis of data.
-Integrate with diverse team supporting content and media across multiple sites and brands
-Leverage SEO strategy to optimize content approach
-Create detailed content style guidelines and templates
-Oversee cross-team and agency education and training around content strategy and guidelines
-Manage brand expectations and requirements around content deliverables
-Work with analytics group to report on operational performance and metrics; develop action plans for improvement as necessary. Provide relevant and timely feedback to the teams
-The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
-10+ years of experience in related areas in an interactive design agency; marketing agency; and/or PR agency
-Experience in developing interactive content, experience in online content strategy, preferably in an agency setting
-5-7 years experience in creating/writing content for Web or other digital media
-Possesses strong organizational and teamwork skills
-Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
-Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and attention to detail a must.
