At the Globus family of brands the Website UX/Designer is responsible for user interfaces and rich-media for company's Web sites and landing pages.
The Website UX/Designer is responsible for the following results:
•Participate in the full life cycle of user-centric product development across web, mobile web and iOS/Android native apps, working closely with project managers, graphic (print and digital) designers, developers, and content managers to create beautiful and intuitive UIs, including enhanced functionality
•Design and prototype Websites and landing pages for cross browser/platform capability (strong knowledge of IE 7-11, Chrome, Firefox and Safari)
•Web content management, including marketing messages and online photography
•Encourage user action and increase conversions based on A/B testing, user testing, and competitive analysis (Evaluate competitive and innovative design approaches to identify best practices, emerging patterns, and encourage innovation).
•Design for both desktop and mobile interfaces
•Design and code e-mail communications using HTML with an understanding of compatibility with various e-mail systems.
•Designing Web banners and interactive media (with basic knowledge of Action Script programming and XML) & HTML5.
The preferred candidate will hold a BA or BFA in a Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Web Design, HCI – Human Computer Interaction or related Design field.
The preferred candidate has noteworthy experience in the following areas:
•Solid 2 to 4 years of Website/ UX Designer experience; or applicable education/education experience.
•Understanding of marketing fundamentals
•Provide an online portfolio of recent UX/UI and digital work
•Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite especially Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator,
•Adobe Flash with basic Action Script programming and XML
•Designing user flows, interactions and UIs
•Familiar with traditional UX & UI patterns
•Understand the Agile process
•Background in creating, designing and developing e-mail communications, banners and rich media
•Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•Knowledge of IE 7-11, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari cross browser compatibility issues
•Experience with creative brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and execution
•Good oral and written communicator that enjoys working as part of a team
•Must be a self-starter who manages time well while working through a prioritized task queue
•Must be able to work with graphic designers, e-marketers and IT developers as team members
•Able to define and scope their own tasks for large project development
•Strong attention to detail
•Able to work well under pressure and aggressively strive to meet short notice deadlines
