The Content Director is responsible for the copy development process through the various review phases of the creative plan. The Content Director owns the product quality for the discipline he/she represents and makes a concerted effort to collaborate with the other creative disciplines to deliver the highest-quality product. Leads a team of writers who are responsible for copy on a variety of marketing channels used within the entire company. This position will champion all content development within the creative department to meet a consistent writing style for each client and provide assistance and direct the research, writing, editing, and rewriting copy for all projects and media. This position will also be responsible for maintaining a high standard of B2B expertise across the agency client base.

Requirements
• Constructs sound creative decisions across various markets and media, such as business-to-business, consumer marketing, point of sale, advertising, etc.
• Defines the voice and content strategy with Copywriters, and develops concepts with the Creative Director, Associate Creative Director and Art Directors.
• Spends equal time in concept development, research and review.
• Researches features and specifications of client products and services to ensure copy is accurate and effective.
• Ensures that internal processes are followed to create quality, profitable, and on-time work.
• Defines what the creative function needs to deliver to achieve client objectives.
• Demonstrates success through the business cycle, from new business to planning and execution of client plans.
• May include travel for client meetings, research, etc.
• Lead the development and management of effective, creative relationships and work processes with Creative, Account and the Agency Services Group.
• Leads the copy discipline in internal and external client meetings and plans workflow for the discipline.
• Responsible for understanding market trends and recommend strategic copy goals.
• Spends significant time mentoring associates and direct reports.
• Develops, challenges, and leads others to achieve results.

Qualifications
• 7 – 10+ years of experience creating highly intuitive copy in an agency environment.
• Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing or business-related field.
• Possess a deep passion and understanding of interactive marketing.
• Demonstrates strong conceptual abilities.
• Expert written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Must be results and detail-oriented and be able to juggle multiple priorities in order to meet deadlines.
