1) Media – Strategy, Budgeting, Execution
On a seasonal basis create and execute the media strategy for each brand within Collective’s portfolio. This strategy should support the goals and objectives of the overall marketing strategy for each brand and executed within budgets and timelines.
2) Team – Strategy, Budgeting, Execution
On a seasonal basis create and execute the team strategy for each brand within Collective’s portfolio. Communicate on-going team efforts to all external licensing partners, internal CLI staff and all relevant parties. This strategy should support the goals and objectives of the overall marketing strategy for each brand and be executed within budgets and timelines.
3) Promotions (Overall) – Strategy, Budgeting, Execution
Lead the development of the annual Promotions strategy and budget for each brand within the CLI portfolio. Be responsible for the tactical execution throughout the year and ensure all promotions are delivered on time and on budget. Promotion examples include Airwalk Unsigned Hero, Airwalk Get Hooked Up, Shred Sims, etc.
4) Photoshoot Production (Airwalk and Vision Street Wear)
Lead the production of brand photo shoots including managing timelines and budgets, managing logistics (T&E, athletes, site selection, sample procurement), and leading weekly status meetings. This will be a highly collaborative role requiring close work with the creative director, the photographer and the rest of the brand management team.
5) Marketing Communications
Work closely with the Collective team to insure that all marketing strategies are optimized within the integrated plan. For example, making sure pro team and media efforts are being communicated to the web marketing lead and the PR lead.
6) Licensee relationships
Work with and communicate regularly with each brand’s licensees regarding media, team and promotional strategies and tactics. Find ways to leverage Collective’s efforts with our licensing partners in their markets.
7) Strategic Projects
Be willing to, and show the capacity for, taking on strategic projects from time to time. Specifically, this means showing the ability to: a) do self-directed market research to understand the conditions surrounding the opportunity, b) to form clear conclusions about the market, c) the ability to develop unique recommendations for addressing the opportunities and d) to create a present these thoughts in a structured format.
Prepare and give presentations regarding a brand’s media, team and promotional strategies and tactics. Audiences may include Collective management, licensees, retailers or media outlets.
Be willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally during the year for licensee meetings, trade shows, consumer/market trending trips, etc.
Five to seven years of related experience
Bachelor’s degree required; Marketing, PR, communications emphasis preferred
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office; Photoshop experience a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Ability and willingness to work extended hours, when necessary, to achieve goals
Passion or familiarity with Action Sports or youth focused brands strongly preferred
Agency experience a plus
