Reporting
Relationship: This position reports directly to the Director of Visual Design and User Experience

General
Statement: The User Interface Engineer is responsible for the design and development of high quality user interfaces deployed by Cachematrix on behalf of client companies.

1.0 Job Description:
• Works collaboratively to envision, design, develop and test new applications and enhancements. Works to translate user requirements into conceptual designs and structural architectures.

2.0 Skills and Traits:
• Must have a minimum of 4 years experience with web development and information design. Similar experience in graphic design a plus
• Strong HTML and CSS coding skills. Must be able to hand code
• Experience developing for multiple browser version and types is a must
• Must have strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Knowledge of universal design and usability principles
• Experience with JavaScript and ASP.Net in Visual Studio environment a plus
• Strong attention to detail, sense of ownership and self-motivation is essential
• Must have a solid understanding of and experience with the web and web technology
• Must have entrepreneurial approach to problem solving
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills in order to work in a diverse, dynamic, cross-functional environment

3.0 Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Information Design, or related field
• 2-4 years experience in web-application design with strong academic history and obvious high potential
• Mastery of user interface design concepts, UI standards and web-conventions

4.0 Supervisory Requirements:
• None

5.0 Hours
• This position is a full time position

6.0 Travel
• Minimal travel when required
