Account Executive – Outdoor Recreation

Job Summary

If you have a serious passion for the outdoors coupled equally with a demonstrated passion for marketing and advertising, we need to talk. We’re looking for a highly motivated individual to act as a day-to-day liaison with clients such as the Remington Arms Company and Bushnell Outdoor Products. As a project, timeline and budget manager, you will be involved in brand stewardship and creative execution. Participation in client presentations and strategy formulation is a daily activity. But most of all, you must have a servant’s heart, never settling for average work. Relocation and some travel is required.

Essential Duties and Functions

• Account Executives are the liaison between the client and the creative & media teams
• Ensures the client’s marketing and media objectives are correctly executed on every project
• Manages project timelines and budgets
• Develops creative briefs and media job starts
• Proofs all work produced and checks all creative against size and specification
• Preps and actively participates in internal creative brief meetings
• Provides creative feedback/input during internal reviews
• Serves as day-to-day client contact. Regularly discusses current/upcoming projects with client
• Provides client with weekly status reports
• Presents creative concepts/layouts to the client for approval
• Communicates client feedback to internal departments for revisions
• Works with the Account Supervisor to develop new marketing ideas/strategies to present to client
• Active role in monthly billing and budget reconciliation

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor degree from an accredited institution (Marketing, advertising or journalism preferred, MBA is even better)
• Passion for and participation in outdoor recreation including shooting, hunting, fishing and other outdoor pastimes preferred
• Previous advertising agency preferred
• Mastery of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc) and Mac OS
• Highly organized and very strong project management skills
• Sound analytical and acute attention to detail
• Adept at creative thinking and problem solving
• Strong command of the English language
• Excellent public speaking skills
• Willingness to never settle for average work
