POSITION SUMMARY
Are you up for a creative challenge? BrightNest is redefining the homeowner experience. We know that keeping your home in great shape can be overwhelming and time consuming. So, we made it our mission to create the first lifestyle home maintenance site. We have the technology and expert content that makes it easy, informative and fun to take care of your home. Now, we need your help with the look. Our Visual Problem Solver will play a critical role in defining our brand, developing online advertising and marketing campaigns, and testing the creative waters.
If it’s made of pixels, you will own it. Make it look good. Make it sing. Make it tell a story that positions BrightNest as more than a smart reminder system, but the Real Simple of home maintenance. This is a great opportunity to get in early with a fast-growing company, work with and a dynamic team, and above all, build a brand that people will love.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Buckets of creativity
• A strong portfolio of designs, sketches, mockups & deliverables that showcase your skills
• More than 3 years of agency or in-house design experience
• Deep and demonstrated expertise with Adobe CS
• An understanding of the capabilities of HTML and CSS
• Strong conceptual thinking-- both visual and interactive
• Ability to communicate visual design concepts effectively
• Experience with web and interactive design (specifically consumer web applications)(don’t worry we won’t make you code!)

BONUS POINTS
• Ability to visualize across a wide range of media, layouts/concepts/mock-ups/artworking/image manipulation etc.
• Strong understanding of interactive design, emerging technology and online media
• Experience designing for mobile

THE ORGANIZATION
BrightNest is a web-based service that delivers engaging organizational tools, expert recommendations and creative content to homeowners across the US and Canada. Fresh out of a four-month accelerator program in Silicon Valley (500 Startups), the team is back in Denver looking for a Visual Designer to help establish us as THE online lifestyle brand for homeowners.
