Job Description
Media Buyers participate in many aspects of executing high profile and complex clients’ display media campaigns, including ongoing buying, implementation, monitoring, optimization and reporting. The main responsibility of this position is collaborating with a team of Media Planners and Coordinators, researching vendors, executing buys, approving and executing insertion orders, and maintaining strong communications with clients. This role requires a great deal of organization, desire to learn, and ability to multi-task. In order for a campaign to be executed smoothly, the Media Buyer needs to ensure they understand the goals and objective of the campaign as well as how to set up and execute the campaign in DoubleClick. Once the campaign is live, the Media Buyer is responsible for optimizing and providing recommendations to the Media Planners on reallocation. This position requires the ability to buy campaigns involving display banners, mobile, tablet, social, email and lead generation opportunities.

• Maintain current vendor relationships
• Establish new vendor relationships
• Assist and provide insight on media plans generated
• Fully execute multiple clients’ media plans from trafficking to optimization to management.
• Purchase media
• Ensure contracts are accurate, out clauses are set and billing is established
• Approve and actualize invoices
• Work closely with traffickers to ensure timeframes are established ahead of time and expectations of deliverables are set
• Work with coordinators to set up reporting templates that will fit client need
• Help create supplementary materials for clients such as PowerPoint presentations
• Pull together vendor reports in addition to DoubleClick reports
• Help with the creation of timelines, internal and external to keep the team organized

Required Skills & Experience
• 2+ years of digital media experience
• Knowledge of DoubleClick
• Intermediate / Advanced with Excel and PowerPoint
• Eye for creative
• Knowledge of DSP platforms a plus
• Knowledge of paid search a plus
• Passion for digital advertising
• Aptitude to quickly learn new software tools for monitoring and reporting
• A self-starter with strong multi-tasking skills and close attention to detail

Preferred Additional Skills & Experience
• Familiarity with Google Adwords and Google Analytics is a plus
• Familiarity with additional online tools such as Comscore, or Nielsen
• Social personality – comfortable with talking on the phone, emailing, and seeking answers to questions in a timely manner
• Ambition and drive to produce great results for clients
• Understanding of responsibilities and willingness/desire to go above and beyond given tasks
• Ability to work under pressure
• Accountability and pride in the work you produce
