THE ROLE

We are seeking first in class creative - a true leader who lives for design. A person who keeps files of ideas and is never short on new direction. Someone who defies boundaries and wears many hats, all with the heart and soul of the brand in mind.

This position will work closely with our Chieif Creative Officer and be responsible for creative idea generation / strategy as well as hands-on execution of projects - as a small team, we all need to be doers! If you want to be involved in every aspect of the product experience from the website all the way down to product packaging, this position is for you. RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE

-Concept design direction and create visual assets to support marketing campaigns, partnerships and product experience across channels - ranging from email marketing all the way down to product packaging.
-Work with design team to create first-in-class campaigns that support the brand.
-Visualize concepts for product shoots to support design needs.
-Steward for customer experience. Conduct research and provide design solutions to improve the product, website and mobile platforms for our customers.
-Assist with concept creation for new photo book cover designs, layouts and stationery designs.
-Provide input and assistance to other members of the Creative and Technology Team.

TRAITS OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE

-Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
3+ years experience as a full stack designer within a results-driven environment - passion for product design, interaction design, visual design or photography preferred
-Passion for and deep understanding of great product experience
-Extensive experience designing web-based, mobile and responsive products
-Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, HTML & CSS*
-Great understanding of typography, balance, color
-An eye for beautiful photography -- Photography skills a plus
-Ability to craft words to pair with visual imagery for maximum impact
-Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to do so in past work
-Driven and motivated -- excellent at solving problems
-Computer proficiency -- ability to learn new software quickly
-Great interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with others
-Value patience and kindness -- a good listener and teacher
-Excellent time management -- prioritize and execute multiple tasks
-Great work ethic -- we move fast!

*Must have a laptop with Adobe Suite installed

POSITION DETAILS

This position will begin as a two week contract position to determine fit. If our love is mutual, a position will be made available that offers flexibility in hours and pay depending on experience that has the potential to be either a full or part-time position. Competitive market rate salary. Flexibility around core hours of 9am-3pm, snow days, health cost stipend provided. Must live in the Denver area or be willing to relocate.
