Job Overview:
This senior level position (reporting to the CEO/Founder) will have responsibility for leading APR’s business services, tools and marketing/PR and communications. Working closely with the Founder/CEO, President and Client Services team, you will help to define the strategic goals and alliances of the company and help to define key resources and tasks to implement action plans.

ROLE AS SENIOR MANAGEMENT

The VP, BS&M will build and strengthen our business services and help to enhance and articulate our reputation in the industry, as well as assist in new business development in the US and Europe, and develop the Practice Leader program within APR.

The VP, BS&M will guide product/service roadmaps and development to meet each client's needs, assist in Process Audits, and provide thought leadership in helping each client incorporate APR products/business services into their ongoing processes.

Hold meetings with the senior management team to review company performance, client services, determine company strategy, set company policies and standards, provide input into financial decisions affecting the growth of the company and contribute to short and long-term planning and strategy. You will also lead our Leadership Team Meetings (4x year) and Contribute to the agenda and presentations of our Company team meetings (2x year).

ON-BOARDING:

• Understand 2010 plan / financials / client assumptions / cost outs
• Assist prep for LT Meeting, re-org communication, etc.
• Baseline understanding of each client scope of work and status
• Sit in on at least 1 status call and 1 birds eye review – evaluate process (3 hr)
• Orientation meetings with Tony and Sheila of Client Services
• Baseline understanding of DAM and Reporting Tool (1/2 day)
• Review, understand all descriptions of APR services
o Understand past and current Marketing activities (Website, brochures, new business pitches)

YOUR On-Going RESPONSIBILITIES

a) Senior Management
o Serve as a critical member of APR Senior Management team in leading the strategic direction of the Company. Provide or ensure appropriate reporting to APR Senior Management personnel and provide ongoing strategic counsel and advice both to clients and APR Senior Management team.
o Schedule and facilitate Sr. Management status meetings.
o Represent APR at industry conferences/events
o Help to craft Company meeting agendas and to facilitate the meetings to ensure productive use of everyone’s time
o Develop direction and manage the internal processes for training and onboarding APR personnel
o Help to identify and make the most out of APR Advisory Board Members
b) Business Services
o Oversee all existing APR business services.
o Identify opportunities for new business services and explore the feasibility of each; discover, analyze, develop and qualify any new product/service development opportunities for APR to support the vision and growth of the company.
o Encourage the growth and development of APR Business Services in Production Management Consulting.
o Focus on developing Digital Asset Management services to support growth goals; define needs and staffing requirements.
o Focus on defining the APR Reporting Software as both an internal and external tool; explore feasibility of creating an industry benchmarking tool. Help to create the marketing messages and pricing for all levels of software engagement with clients; Define needs and staffing requirements.
o Participate in strategizing to leverage APR’s client list and client production volume to develop APR pricing, preferred vendor deals and ratecards.
o Grow revenue and profit (expand services and tools across existing clients, identify synergies within and across clients, acquire new clients) and to define incremental products/services, rate-cards and pricing structures.
c) Other Areas: Client Services and Training
o Monitor the review and approval of the Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work and Cost Outs with the applicable APR Client Services team.
o Work with the Client Services team to incorporate APR Business Services (products/case studies/examples) into existing and new client communications.
o Oversee Clients Services/Marketing support team (Jim Levy, Laura Alexander and TBD/Business Analyst) and utilize this team to manage synergies and common areas of interest across APR clients (such as element storage, talent payroll company consolidation, etc.)
o Oversee APR Practices and provide guidance to the Practice Leaders; oversee APR efforts to remain on leading edge of industry expertise, Practice Leaders, committees, knowledge and trends
o Get involved in Process Audits from the scoping to the final reports to contribute at a high level to the APR recommendations
o Review internal APR training program and revise to ensure optimal performance
o Assist in developing external training programs and manage relationship with the ANA (US) and ISBA’s (UK) training programs
d) Marketing Communications
o Marketing Lead APR marketing/communication and Public Relations strategies, including new business presentations, website design, press releases, etc.
o Assist in leveraging external APR training programs with marketing efforts and PR before and after the training
o Help company understand the client/advertiser POV and use that knowledge to craft key APR service offerings, messaging/marketing communications/etc.
o To help APR best articulate the value we bring to our clients.
o Hire and manage any marketing resources
