Front-End Web Developer
Full Time - In-house position.

The Opportunity
Anabliss Design – a leading design and brand strategy company in Denver – is accepting applications to fill an immediate opening for a front-end web developer.

About You
You understand, and can communicate, the importance of semantics, standards and performance in your code. You're using the latest tools and frameworks that support organization, cleanliness and efficiency. We know this because we can see it in your code. It tells a story about you, your experience and your approach to coding.

You can intelligently discuss, and code for, the changes happening in web right now. You follow the trends, but don't follow them blindly. You can lead discussions about the latest tools and technologies, offering sound advice to our team and clients alike.

You have a firm grasp on the best practices for coding across multiple devices and contexts. You have a relatively new, but firm grasp on responsive design, mobile design, adaptive images and related topics.

You are great with clients – professional in every way. You are an individual – a person that we and our clients enjoy being around – someone we can all learn from, and trust for your clear commitment to your craft, the project, the work.

Required Capabilities
To be considered for this position, you must clearly possess, demonstrate and be able to articulate your abilities in:
Clean, semantic markup
Graphics optimization and sprites
Responsive code and adaptive images
Media queries for multiple breakpoints and designs
CSS authoring using the latest specification and experimental candidates
Cross-browser testing and a clear understanding of their gaps in support
JavaScript authoring and frameworks such as jQuery, Prototype and others
Use of authoring tools such as Compass, SASS, LESS, Sublime, TextMate and others
Use of UI frameworks such as Bootstrap, Initializr, HTML5 Boilerplate and others

More Capabilities
We understand you like to dabble outside your job description – that's what makes you well rounded and a self starter. If you have any of these capabilities, be sure to note them in your response and any follow-up discussion.
Mobile web development – iOS, Android, or related technologies and frameworks
CMS – Expression Engine, Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal or others
E-Commerce frameworks – Shopify, Magento or others
Application development using popular JavaScript application frameworks
Application development using PHP, Ruby, Java, .NET or others
Database design and coding capabilities
User experience design capabilities
Technical project management tools and expertise
Other technologies, tools or abilities you'd like us to know about

Our Commitment to You
We believe that the time and care you put into your craft matters – a lot. It may not always be visible, but we understand, and desire, the same commitment to beautiful, clean code.

We value the work and commitment of our front-end developers and want to make sure they have everything they need to do their best work. That means, you'll have the time and the latest tools and technologies you need to produce your best work.

Finally, our goal is not to hire someone to fill a position, but rather a team member we can count on – that our clients can count on – to educate and lead us in the discipline of front-end web development. In return, we'll reward you with respect, gratitude, competitive compensation and a reasonable work schedule that is sensitive to your life and commitments outside the office.
