Job Title: Freelance Social Media Marketing Consultant
Reports To: Marketing Director
The Social Media Marketing Consultant under general guidance of the Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy. Through research and discovery, the ideal candidate will understand the overall company goals and objectives and then use that learning to design, develop and implement an integrated and coordinated strategy of social media activities that produces sales and profits through usage of existing, and potentially new social media platforms. Outcome expectations include increased sales, development of an ongoing process for new customer acquisition at SOL via social media sites and enhancement of existing customer loyalty.
Ideal candidate will have proven experience in creating and implementing successful social media strategies for other fashion retail companies.
The position reports directly to the Marketing Director and works closely with the Owners and the Art Director.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
•Create sales producing diverse social campaigns delivered daily and designed to engage and inform existing and new customers about the SOL brand
•Consistently deliver increased customer engagement (measured by weekly and monthly engagement activity including fan growth, response percentages, sharing, and increased blog interaction, readership and referral)
•Responsible for re-design of layout of blog and developing themes and content for blog
•Communicate on behalf of SOL to fans, followers and readers to increase engagement
•Coordinate marketing calendar with online marketing and social media activity
•Analyze and share performance of social media programs versus prior internal and industry benchmarks
•Partner with buying and sales to ensure proper online messaging and relevancy
•Write product descriptions for web site in same voice as social media platforms
•Deep knowledge of all aspects of the social space: platforms, vendors, measurement, content creation, media, technology and analytics
•Excellent creative writing ability
•Excellent reporting and analytic skills, both quantitative and qualitative
•Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment
•Collaborative, creative and flexible work style
•Demonstrated strong knowledge and thorough understanding of marketing, advertising and promotional principles
•Has a strong work ethic, sense of urgency; highly motivated
•Has interest in fashion
•5 years of Social Media Marketing experience
•Thorough working knowledge of top social media sites including but not limited to: FB, Twitter, Blog, Pinterest, Instagram, Foursquare, Yelp, Google +
•4 year degree in Marketing related field
• This is an on-site position located in Denver, CO
• 12-24 hours a week (Coordinated to meet needs of business. May include occasional weekend work.)
• $35-$65 / hour based on level of work experience and number of hours per week required to meet proposed needs (estimate12-24 hrs/wk)
