Passion for technology, experience with consumer products, and knowledge of print and web using Adobe Creative Suite 5 plus skills with all of Microsoft Office is preferred. Job Overview:

We are looking for someone to work closely with our founder, who is also the marketing and creative director. You'll help develop and initiate new marketing projects and also collaborate on developing new products, designing logos, building our website, creating print and web promotions, developing product packaging, etc. You'll also manage other graphics vendors.

• Proficiency in photoshop and illustrator
• Maya or other 3D rendering skills a bonus
• Package design a bonus
• Web development experience a plus
• Have working versions of all software on their own laptop

You'll definitely need to be organized to effectively coordinate and juggle multiple changing projects and priorities. You'll manage timelines for all marketing projects to ensure everything stays on track and milestones are met. In addition to graphics software, you'll also need to be good with our current project scheduling software -- excel.

Attention to detail and careful follow-through on process is essential. This is especially true for communication, because of where we are in the start-up process, lots changes quickly.

Our Preferences:

The ideal candidate has previous experience in an entrepreneurial environment, working on a team with a strong creative vision. It is best if you work well independently and on a team. Being on our team requires passion and bits of intensity. Creativity is a must, but we also have our own powerful artistic visions. We want you to contribute your own promotional flair while incorporating our marketing preferences.

Ideally you have a graphic arts degree or 5 years relevant experience. You are also passionate about creativity and design. You meet deadlines and work well in a fast paced environment. Ideally you also have advanced skills in all of Adobe Creative Suite 5, the web, and Word, Excel and Power Point. Ideally you also have solid writing skills and good grammar.

A big plus would be having strong information design skills and experience with research-based content, including design for interactive, iPhone, iPad and web-based use.

Compensation:

This part-time position may quickly grow to full-time. Salary is negotiable based on experience. Contractor is currently responsible for maintaining their own benefits and withholding their own taxes.
