Arts Professional II / Graphic Designer

This position is a member of the Public Relations Office, a dynamic team of dedicated public relation professionals, who provide communications support for CDOT’s programs and projects across the state. Duties include but are not limited to:
Designs and prepares digital and print publications and other products
Assists in the design and construction of internal and external web graphics including but not limited to banners, rotating ads, features and Web page elements
Prepares and uploads all publications for download from Web site
Assists with updating electronic communications and social media as appropriateAdvises project management on the best courses of action for communicating CDOT’s message
Manages project budgets
Negotiates with vendors
Obtains and develops project print/fabrication specifications, tracks multiple projects in various states of production
Communicates with staff pricing and production schedules
Compiles and distributes project estimates and schedules
Develops and maintains brand guidelines to improve CDOT brand integrity and incorporates and implements branding guidelines into design from concept to production and delivery
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers (internal and external)
Other duties as assigned
