It'd help to know what position you're applying for. From the looks of your current work, I'm guessing a Copywriter.
If that's the case I'd take out the sketches.
For sure. I am applying to art director and copywriting positions, but that is a good point to ditch the sketches for the copywriting applications. Thank you.
And by art director, you mean jr. art director. Correct?

No problem. I am currently an intern at an ad agency, and I have been told that when they need to hire someone they pick the first physical book they can see.
Maybe try an internship? Perhaps at Karsh? We didn't have any creative interns this spring, which is unusual. We always can use free lance or interns : )
