New Dev Team Idea

So, I work for a design and development firm in Denver and was talking with a couple clients the other day when this crazy little thought poped up in my head. Seeing as this forum seems to be a great way to gather information from the masses that is Denver, CO.

So, the idea is this, hire a full team on retainer for your project that you are looking to hire a freelancer for. You get twice the work at half the price and you have a full team as opposed to one guy for full price. We have a team with the bandwidth and capabilities to handle pretty much anything.

Question is, is there a business out there that has a need for a dev and would be open to this kind of model?
