Networking group input - COAMA or Denver Ad Club?

I've lived in Denver for almost four years, but have been so busy with my Seattle copywriting clients that I haven't been active with the local marketing and advertising community.

To change that, I'd like to join either COAMA or the Denver Ad Club and volunteer, but I'm not sure which one might be the better fit. (Young Professionals is not an option for me--and I do fit some of that "writers are introverts" stereotype.) Most of the work I do is brand and marketing, less advertising.

Any advice or recommendations for a local networking work? Would really appreciate anything you'd be willing to share.

Thanks!
Jesaka

Hey Jesaka,

I can't speak for COAMA, but Ad Club Denver is a great fit for copywriters. Branding, marketing, and advertising-types are all welcome. If you want to meet some people before you commit, check out Kegs with Legs (this Thursday at Futuristic Films). They're free and sponsored by Ad Club Denver. We're always looking for committee members and volunteers. Lots of networking opportunities and fun work.

Thanks!
Jen

Hi Jen,

Thanks so much for your response. Ad Club Denver sounds really appealing. I can't make this Thursday's event, but I'm going to inquire about committee opportunities and get myself to the next possible event.

Thanks again!
Jesaka
