Considering relocating to Colorado from California
Hello,
My husband and I are currently living in the Bay Area. We work full time as designers and are also pursuing an MFA in Interactive design. We will be graduating in two semesters and are starting to think about life after school. Denver is on our minds since we lived there for an extended period before our move to California. We miss the mountains and the outdoor culture. Our only fear is that we will be sacrificing our careers if we move from San Francisco to Denver. I understand that the jobs and opportunities are not as prevalent in Colorado as here, but there has got to be a decent design scene going on in the Rockies. No? Could someone be so kind as to fill me in on the happenings in Denver. What to expect? Is Denver the quiet, dusty town of the west or would I be pleasantly surprised? Are there ad agencies/design firms that compare to companies in the Bay Area? I would love to hear what you all think.
Thanks!

We all live in tipis and ride horses out here. What is this 'design' you speak of? :p

LOL I literally moved from LA this week. Will let you know how it goes! and yes there are. Check out the sites from the job/intern posts even if you are not interested in that particular job.
Zoe // How was your move? My husband and I are thinking about heading to Colorado this Summer. We have done a fair amount of research on firms in the Denver area. While not plentiful, there are a couple of places that are comparable to San Francisco. The bottom line we want to be near the mountains and rivers of the Rocky Mountain West!
Ryan // I grew up in New Mexico where literally tumbleweeds float down the street and there is only one design firm! So tipis and riding a horse to work is right up my alley! Thanks for the links. I was looking for a more personal experience to working in the Denver area, but I appreciate your help.
Cheers
