we took the kids to Jonas Brothers.. 16,823 screaming teenaged girls shrealing at the top of their lungs. Ohhh neat.. A manufactured Disney product.. I swear all those kid artists.. Jonas.. Hilary Duff, Miley, etc. all sound the same.. shit.. I sound like my parents.. The best part is when the kids are dancing to covers of songs from the ’80s.. and they have no idea.. so we play them the original in the car on the way home.. and they’re so surprised.. ha

I would add Pinback at the Bluebird Theatre tonight to the list.

www.pinback.com

a really “awesome” website, complete with flash and nested scrollbars that are lame-tastic.

Russian Circles would be worth the price of admission. I’ll be in Seattle, tell me how it is!

Agreed Josh! Saw Pinback last night and was a great show even without their main keyboardist, and ended super early so was able to jet over to the Larimer for Sera Cahoone. She is amazing too! There were less than 30 people there and most seemed to be her friends and family.

If you were lucky enough to get Fleet Foxes tickets tonight, please post a review – that show supposedly is incredible this tour. I’ll be at Larimer supporting the local badasses from Forest Room 5 in Hawks of Paradise.

Thanks for music reviews, keep em comin!

The line-up for Pinhead Circus on Saturday is incredible: Scooter James, Dave Barker, Jordan Hauser and Trevor Williamson. I know Rancid is playing that night, but these guys haven’t played together in over 6 years! They are truly a Denver landmark. It’s gonna be a good one.

Uhm, please add Bitter:Sweet, August 3rd at the Marquis Theatre, 8PM. Only $15 at the door.
