• RelaxZen Kindly Appeals to the UN

    / Comments (2)

Los Angeles advertising agency Forza Migliozzi pulled a newsworthy stunt yesterday for their client, RelaxZen, a relaxation beverage. They sent 16 cases of the product to world leaders meeting at the United Nations General Assembly session which began two days ago at UN headquarters in Turtle Bay.

The company donated their product to world leaders “to promote world peace by mellowing these guys out,” said the company’s Chief Relaxation Officer (CRO) Nick West. “The leaders of the world are just too stressed. We have sent enough for every delegation.” Each gift to a member of the General Assembly was accompanied by a cheery letter from RelaxZen.

This video below accompanies their gift to the UN.

How do you make sure the pizza man’s at your place within the 30 minutes he’s promised? Put a bright red ticking clock on the back of his scooter. Nice idea. Drive that thing, dude. Agency: BBDO Guerrero/Proximity, Makati City, The Philippines.

  • The Commercial is Shite, But the Behind-the-Scenes is Kinda Good

This is clearly fake and intended to either hype the commercial, which is a complete turd, or to hype Jim Breuer, who isn’t too turdy. Regardless, it’s fairly entertaining.

  • The Egos: Best Party Going During NY's Ad Week, Hands Down

    / Comments (1)

A couple weeks ago, we were contacted by Creature in Seattle who said they wanted to send us a “package.” Wary, as we always are of such things, we gave them Grandma Ego’s address to send it to.

A huge box showed up and we were excited about what we found inside. For their client Bing, Creature designed an inter-agency ping pong tournament to take place tonight – during NY Advertising Week. Inside the silver case they sent were two paddles, two balls, two event tickets and a handful of promo posters. Nice.

The Egos (great frickin’ name, baby) will be held live at SPiN New York (which appears to be a ping pong-specific club), along with being webcasted live on The Egos site.

    May the fastest agency win.

  • Nice Breast (Cancer Awarenss Ads)

    / Comments (0)

Despite non-profits worldwide sucking wind because of the economy, breast cancer orgs are really pouring cash into their advertising efforts this year to make women aware of the need to get proper, annual exams. This long-copy campaign developed at Grey Amsterdam for breast cancer awareness magazine, Pink Ribbon, is one of the most effective we’ve seen this year – and not just because it features nude ladies.
