Channeling Neale Donald Walsch who said, "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone," Sean Herman and his family of four have decided to go mobile — in the truest sense of the word. For the unforeseeable future they'll be living, working and exploring the U.S. from their 1976 VW Westfalia. Planning to be on the road for a while, they've even prepared the van with solar panels and wifi, so Sean can continue his work wherever they go.
"We are a family of four living our 80 square foot 1976 Westfalia. Under the roof you’ll find a husband who works remotely, a baby who loves to explore, a dog who loves the wind in his curly hair and a wife who’s the glue that keeps the whole thing together. We set out to explore the many great cities, parks and hidden corners of the country. Between a growing kiddo, a giant dog and a vintage camper van that breaks down from time to time, there are plenty of road bumps along the way. But like any true adventure, we wouldn’t trade it for anything. This is our life in 80sqft."
With one day under their belts, they've driven 53 miles and changed 2 diapers. You can follow along on the Eighty Square Feet journey on the family's blog, Facebook and Instagram. Good luck out there, you guys. Don't pick up hitchhikers.
