We’re not afraid to call the in-the-moment photographic work of Clay Kessak really damn inspiring. See more of his work at Chowder Zine, his blog, and on his Flickr page. Here’s Clay’s story.
Born in Inchon, South Korea and raised in Washington D.C., Kentucky, and Colorado, Clay is a graduate of the Art Institute of Colorado and currently based out of New York City. While photographing the skater and urban youth subcultures in Colorado and New York, he prefers a documentary approach towards his subjects. Although proficient in all formats (including digital), lighting, and studio work, he predominantly uses natural light to capture his subjects. Clay is available for assignments and commissions.
