After 25 years of operation, Greeley’s Kendall Printing ceased operations last Friday at 3 p.m. Thirty-four remaining employees were surprised by the news and were left to ponder what would be next for them in an industry that’s visibly withering. Apparently, Kendall’s loans, mostly for equipment, were sold by a failed bank to another institution that came to collect. Kendall joins fellow Colorado printers Spectro, National Hirschfeld and L&M – all closing their doors over the last year.
A major career retrospective at The Museum of Modern Art on Tim Burton (American, b. 1958), consisting of a gallery exhibition and a film series, considers Burton’s career as a director, producer, writer, and concept artist for live-action and animated films, along with his work as a fiction writer, photographer and illustrator.
