From Poolhouse, the producers of Catbook, Horsebook, Ferretbook, Rodentbook, Fishbook and Birdbook, comes the Dogbook iPhone app – an evolution of the Facebook app now for your phone. This is a little fruity, we know, but it’s got some cool stuff for dog owners and it’s free. So we’re promoting it. End of post.
While fine arts programs are shutting down in schools across the country, Denver’s lucky enough to have its own nonprofit helping to pick up the pieces. The Denver Art Society – you might’ve seen it on Santa Fe – provides free art classes to children, the homeless, and jobless designers alike.
It’s going to shut down if it doesn’t raise $600 in the next 36 hours. It kind of seems like a lot, but it isn’t…at least not knowing some of the heavy hitters reading this.
Just think: one of these kids could end up an all-star AD for you someday.
Malenke|Barnhart is moving to the historic Rock Island building located in the heart of Denver’s LoDo neighborhood at 1614 15th Street, Denver, CO 80202. (The space previously occupied by Thomas, Taber & Drazen, we presume.) “The new location will give M|B proximity to downtown amenities and inspiration from a hip, high-energy neighborhood,” so says the agency’s release. You’re invited to come by and see them in their new, light-filled, top-floor space.
We haven’t heard much out of Brand New School in a while, but from the looks of this beautiful work, it seems they’ve still got the touch. Agency: Arnold Worldwide, Boston.
In a new spot for Breckenridge Brewery’s Lucky U IPA, Bob Harrington, Breckenridge’s head brewer, stands beside a cold, Rocky Mountain river and does his finest impression of Pete Coors – with a refreshing twist. Created by Cultivator Advertising & Design, Denver, and produced by KDVR Fox-31, Denver, the Lucky U IPA commercial is intended to reach a primarily male audience within Colorado. Craft brew drinkers skew male and the majority of Breckenridge Brewery’s distribution is in-state. It will run on Fox Colorado sports programming, including the Cotton Bowl, January 1, and/or the Orange Bowl, January 5.
